Who we are

Totsee is operated by Totsee Technologies, a British Columbia corporation (Corporate Registry No. FM1083820), headquartered at 997 Seymour St, Unit 250, Vancouver, BC, V6B 3M1.

Who can use Totsee

Totsee is for adults aged 19 and over. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 19 years old and are using the platform on your own behalf or as an authorized representative of a childcare facility.

What Totsee is

Totsee is a childcare review and discovery platform. We help Vancouver families find childcare and share honest experiences. We are not a childcare agency, referral service, or licensing authority. We do not endorse or guarantee any facility listed on our platform.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account secure. You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to keep it up to date. Totsee accounts are created via Google Sign-In — please refer to Google's terms for authentication-related matters.

Leaving reviews

When you submit a review on Totsee, you agree that: your review reflects a genuine firsthand experience, you will not post false, misleading, or defamatory content, you will not include personal information about staff, children, or other families, and you grant Totsee a non-exclusive licence to display your review on the platform.

Moderation policy

Totsee reserves the right to remove reviews that violate these terms or our community guidelines, including reviews containing hate speech, personal attacks, or content unrelated to a genuine childcare experience.

We do not remove reviews simply because they are negative. Honest negative reviews are a core part of what makes Totsee valuable to families.

Operators

Childcare operators may register or claim their facility on Totsee. By doing so, you confirm that: all information provided is accurate and complete, you are an authorized representative of the facility, your facility complies with all applicable provincial and municipal regulations governing childcare in British Columbia and is in good standing with relevant authorities, regardless of licensing status, and you will notify Totsee if your compliance or standing changes.

Totsee does not verify regulatory compliance and does not endorse or recommend any facility listed on the platform. Listing on Totsee is not an endorsement of quality, safety, or legality. Families are strongly encouraged to conduct their own due diligence before selecting a childcare provider.

Totsee Technologies assumes no liability for any harm, loss, or damages arising from your use of or reliance on any facility listed on this platform, regardless of licensing status.

What we are not responsible for

Totsee provides information and reviews submitted by users. We do not verify the accuracy of all facility information and we are not responsible for: the quality or safety of any childcare facility listed on our platform, decisions made by families based on reviews or information on Totsee, or content submitted by users.

We strongly encourage families to conduct their own research and visit facilities in person before making childcare decisions. Reviews posted on Totsee are user-generated opinions and do not represent the views of Totsee Technologies.

Totsee Technologies assumes no liability for any harm, loss, or damages of any kind arising from use of this platform or reliance on any information, review, or facility listing contained within it, regardless of whether a facility is licensed or unlicensed.

Messaging and Inquiries

Totsee may facilitate messages between parents and childcare operators. You agree not to use this feature to send spam, harassment, or unsolicited commercial messages. Totsee is not a party to these communications and is not responsible for their content.

Vacancy Listings

Operators may self-report available childcare spots through the platform. Totsee does not independently verify vacancy information. Families should confirm availability directly with facilities before making any decisions.

Prohibited Uses

You may use Totsee for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You agree that you will not:

• Scrape, crawl, spider, or otherwise extract data from the platform by any means, automated or manual
• Copy, reproduce, or republish any facility information, reviews, or platform content for commercial purposes
• Use any data obtained from Totsee to build, train, or improve any competing product or service
• Sell, license, or otherwise distribute any data obtained from the platform
• Attempt to access our databases, APIs, or backend systems directly or through unauthorized means

Violation of these terms may result in immediate account termination and legal action. Totsee Technologies reserves the right to pursue all available remedies for unauthorized use of its data.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by the laws of British Columbia, Totsee Technologies shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. In no event shall our total liability to you exceed the greater of the amounts you have paid to Totsee in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100 CAD.

Intellectual property

The Totsee name, logo, and platform design are the property of Totsee Technologies. You may not reproduce or use them without written permission.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Totsee grows. We'll notify you of significant changes via email or a notice on the platform. Continued use of Totsee after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
